  Valencia 9 Light Lantern
 The Valencia 9 Light Lanterns from Classic Lighting are European made, solid brass fixtures
with beveled glass panels. All of the metalwork is heavy cast brass, you will not find
any thin machine stamped parts on these fixtures. After the foundry casts the solid brass
parts, they are lightly polished by tumbling them in drums with small stones of various sizes.
The MBZ (Matte Bronze) finish is achieved by oxidizing the brass parts in a vat of acid which turns
them a dark bronze color. The strength of the chemical and the length of time the parts are
exposed is carefully controlled by the Master Craftsman. After oxidation, the parts are again
lightly polished to achieve an even tone and bring out the detail of the beautiful castings.
The SBB (Satin Bronze with Brown Patina) is not oxidized, but instead has a brown umber hand applied to give an antique look and bring out the fine details of the casting.
Finally, a matte lacquer is applied and baked on to lock in the exquisite finish.
